Analog juxtaposition

Men or women are like mortal and pestle. They can't produce anything if one of them is absent.
Happiness can be present as clock. When we are happy,somehow got the feeling that the time pass very fast. Another one is happiness is always won't last long.

Like is like a candle. Ever burning yet so easy to snuff out, by accident, by purpose.

Scary Cat

This is my scary cat, you may find it cute but it's actually very scary, why i say that? The cat uses it's cuteness to deceive people that it is harmless so people dare to approach it, once u get closer, it will attack.

Creative "box"

When speaking of creativity, we don't just apply creativity on drawing, advertisements. It can be also apply on vehicle like what Nissan's did on 2009. They try to create a vehicle that looks like a motorcycles but more comfortable than normal motorcycles.
Nissan's Land Glider

The Nissan's Land Glider looks like normal car but it is design base on a motorcycle. Motorcycles has narrow body, and they are about the most efficient (and fun) way to get around, but people maybe worried about getting smeared all over the cars of an eager commuter talking on his cellphone while eating breakfast and shaving.
This is front view of Nissan's Land Glider. The Land Glider has a narrow body which will save a lots of parking spaces.

From the picture you can see that the Land Glider slightly bend to left when the car is moving to the left. This will make the car more stable and have a better grab on the road. By that you still can get the feeling riding a motorcycle.

Juxtaposition

Random juxtaposition refers to the stimulation of creativity in problem solving, design or other creative pursuit by confronting two unrelated concepts or objects, usually the goal or problem to be solved on the one hand and a randomly selected object or concept on the other or an act or instance of placing close together or side by side, esp. for comparison or contrast. This is some examples of juxtaposition:


By juxtaposing a mailman sorting mail as he energetically strides to his next destination, with a stereotypical cartoon on the wall of a Mexican restaurant,the presence of hard work to a restaurant sign that speaks of “no work”. While we were surprised to find such ethnic stereotyping in Tucson, which is one-third Hispanic, perhaps political correctness has yet to take effect this close to the Mexican border. Or maybe the cartoon on the wall of this 76 year old landmark restaurant has been there so long that it is now just seen as part of the urban landscape.



This is a beauty, the smoke stacks with each other and the houses to note the similarities and differences,not forgetting the clouds of smoke with the clouds in the sky, of course.
















Rather amusing, don't you think? It makes you think about just how the legs hang there. A bit of irony.

Mind mapping about myself

This is a mind mapping about myself. This picture is took when me and my friend when to sushi king to have lunch. This picture is edited by me using photoshop cs4.

I use the sweet sauce to link all the small titles. The point I doing this we can easy read and know where to start, we know that it starts from the top of the sweet sauce bottle and continue to read until the bottom, and i try to make the small titles somehow is link to the sweet sauce, make it look like the sweet sauce create those words while is pouring downwards.

Creativity

According to wikipedia, creativity is the ability to generate innovative ideas and manifest them from thought into reality. Some people thought that creativity is some kind of special gene or only few people in this world have them, well they are all wrong. Creativity is not the ability to create out of nothing,but the ability to generate new ideas by combining, changing, or reapplying existing ideas.

For example:
Ordinary Person: "What are you doing?"
Creative Person: "We're painting our mailbox."
Ordinary Person: "You're crazy."

We can see that the creative person try to change something normal into something that he/she like without scare been critic by other people.

This is Koo Zhan Heng a.k.a KooKooZai, a friend if mine, he is not just a friend of mine but also a course mate since foundation year. Don't get fool by his appearance, he looks quiet but he is actually a very creative person.

KooKooZai always give me surprises, when i say surprise i really mean it, when we are rushing assignments and the deadline is around the corner, somehow my friend Koo Zhan Heng dare to try something new even he knows he doesn't have much time left but always ended up showing me miracle, something that will blow your mind.

If something is on KooKooZai's mind, he will always get it done, he will not take no for his answer or give up easily. When we when to Klang, I-City, a place is full of light decorations, a lots of my friend bought their DSLR to take some picture, KooKooZai don't have DSLR but this doesn't him from taking nice picture at the I-City. He doesn't care if other people laugh him that using a handphone take picture is not nice, I saw with my own eyes that he tried to take pictures is some impossible angle but somehow he made it and that is what we call creativity.

“Bad Apple!!” is a magical piece of stop-motion animation made from 6,566 still photos of printed bitmaps. + Video The creator, Nico Nico Douga user “shige-ruuu,” says he made the video without using photo-editing software. The images were captured with a webcam, and the effects were achieved by changing the camera position and adjusting the focus, brightness, zoom, exposure and gain.

The original stills and music come from this video for the song “Bad Apple!!” (arranged by Masayoshi Minoshima, featuring vocals by nomico) from the Touhou Project game series.

This japanese short animation is all done in black and white. You might think that this black and white animation maybe boring or confusing because many other black and white were boring and confusing when they can't really send the message to the viewers.

In this Bad Apple! animation, we can see that although the whole animation is in black and white but somehow you still can see some 3D among all the characters, and the way the sudden change from an object into another is related and logical.

This animation start when a person create a character on flash, and after that the character escape flash program and started to destroy the window and ended up being used to block against pop up.

This animator try to use the function of softwares and related into his animation, for example the web browser(firefox) is a fox that can shoot out some deadly fire, the window media player can be use a weapon and shoot out music notes, my favourite part is when "The Chosen One"shoot out some fire towards "My computer", "my computer" block it with firewall which is very interesting.

How to be Creative in Advertising

This video is creative advertising.....You might say that "oh i saw this many times, nothing special", indeed you had saw it many times on the internet from youtube or pictures but have you really seen it with your own eyes.

I amazed how people related normal object in our daily life with the surrounding and make it logical and interesting. I like the DSLR's lens is combine with the bus tire, the holder of the plastic bag is illustrated with a pistol.

Hope can see this kind of creative advertising in Malaysia, I just don't get it why Malaysia's pubic buses, cabs, building etc. don dare to put some creative ads instead of all buses and cabs same colour, people feel bore every approach them, that's why Malaysia's ads will never attract people's attention, if advertisers fail to get people's attention then he or she will fail to advertise the product.

The above picture is a man holding pestal as weapon and mortal as shield, although the shield is a bit small but it work just fine in the ancient time.

This is a game using mortal and pestle, it is easy just throw the pestle into the mortal then you win the game.

From this picture we can see that we can use mortal and pestle to create sunglasses.

We can use mortal and pestle to create headphone, the mortal will put on your ears and inside the pestle will contain the wires

Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention

Creativity-Creativity is the ability to generate innovative ideas and manifest them from thought into reality. The process involves original thinking and then producing. Also is the generation of new ideas or a new way of doing things.

Innovation-Innovation is a process that make something new and make is useful , it use for process and generate all the thing which are never have before .

Creative way to tell a story

Hibi no neiro


This short video is made by Sour and it's call Hibi no neiro. I still remember the first i saw it was during media appreciation class, when Mr. Yap Sau Bin saw all of us were sleepy then he open this video and show us, suddenly all sleepy student begin to wake up and pay attention to this video.

When speaking of webcam what will u do to make it more interesting other than just normal video call or conversation, but this artist(Sour) think of something that he try to use many webcams to create a short video clip and has a certain meaning. he try to prove that no matter where we are or who we are, we still can share the same joy. I really amaze how the artist relate a normal webcam with many stuff.

Omokage no saki


This video is also made by Sour, the title is Omokage no saki. This time he try to make the wire of the headphone or earphone into something and tell a story, which very less people will try that. The video contain some stop-motion.

Creativity

According to wikipedia, creativity is the ability to generate innovative ideas and manifest them from thought and reality or a ability to think up and design new inventions, produce works of art, solve problems in the new ways, or develop an idea based on an original novel, or unconventional approach.

During the class, the lecturer told us that everybody is creative,is just that whether we notice it, if we notice it we will use this creativity to produce something. Being creative is a simple thing, there are only two steps, 1st, we need to observe our surrounding, 2nd, we need to be curious about almost everything that we approach no matter new or old. Many people said that being creative is hard because they less observe their surrounding because to them everything seems to be logical and they are suppose to look or must be done that way.

Some research shows that small kids are more creative than adults because small kids curious about almost everything and they hardly think is this logical, on the other side adults who receive education and always have the logical thinking or else they will be laugh and will be look down.

One main reason people stop being creative is because they afraid to try new things. I experience this myself, for an example, the lecturer told us to create our design with no text on it, I got a idea but don't dare to try it scare will reject or give bad impression to the lecturer so I think of another design, but in the end, some people who dare to create a design with text on it and he didn't get scold but on other hand praise by the lecturer.

Creative Lamps

Nowadays each and every home have lamps, but how many creative or special lamps are actually used? The below pictures are some creative lamps.

This ceiling lamp is creative or special from others because the shadow of the lamp is totally different from the actual light bulb. This kind of lamp will actually make people stop and take a look.


This ceiling lamp is cool, the designer try to related a suicide rope and a ceiling lamp. This lamp is weird and will make people think about why the lamp is made into a shape of suicide rope and somehow will find it funny.

This table lamp is almost same like the previous one. Try to imagine that this "suicide lamp" and a normal boring table lamp which one will you buy, they both provide light source. If i was the buyer i will choose this "suicide lamp" than the normal table lamp.

Introduction of Creative Studies

When I heard that Creative Studies is like other English subject with a CREATIVE name I was so disappointed because last semester my English lecturer told us that beta 1 we have to take English course call Creative Studies, but when i attended the first class my lecturer gave a brief what this is subject about and what we will learn and is a subject to help us art student how to live or interact when we enter the society, it is totally different from English subject through the lecturer will still use English to teach us and I was so glad that we don't need to learn and grammar, vocabulary and of cause we need not to learn or write essay.

Lecturers most of them are lecturers from Media Culture(Alpha semester 3), I was surprise that one of the lecturers is from Media Appreciation(Alpha semester 1)

What is your expectation from the class
Lecturer give lecture in a very creative style, not FOM, FOE, FIT style. I like Mr Yap Sau Bin's lecture because he always use what's around him and try to related in his lecturer and make it very special, interesting way of giving lecture, this will also help the students to understand will about the lecture.


What would I like to learn from this class
I want to think fast and creatively, hopefully lecturer will give me some useful lecture and some tips and tricks how to achieve it faster.
